Strong Girls Serve creates opportunities for young women to connect with each other and their community through book clubs, service projects, and events. We believe our programs develop compassionate and inspired leaders.
What is Strong Girls Serve?
Strong Girls Serve is a nonprofit organization. It empowers girls through community service, team-building, and leadership activities. The middle school and high school groups have a bi-monthly book club meeting during their planned school time. Each year, the community service branch of Strong Girls Serve partners with a local, non-profit agency, where they volunteer at least once a month.
Who We Serve
Strong Girls Serve runs middle school and high school book clubs in Athens, Georgia. Our community service groups have partnered with the Athens Area Emergency Food Bank, Project Safe, Children First, Books for Keeps, Keep Athens Clarke County Beautiful and Extra Special People. Volunteering with these organizations teaches girls to make a difference, gain confidence, and build a strong community with each other. Strong Girls Serve is a fantastic example of how acts of service by the next generation of leaders can make an impact on a community.
