Our middle school community-wide service club meets monthly to serve an area nonprofit in Athens. The girls do a variety of leadership activities, direct service, and fundraising to be the change in our community. This coming school year, we will partner with Children First. Our first nonprofit partner was the Athens Area Emergency Food Bank. We were able raise enough money to allow them to buy 4285 cans! In addition to this monetary donation, we provided hours of service, cans and other items as well as our The Little Free Pantry and the mural we painted that graces the lobby of the food bank. This year, we had an awesome year serving Project Safe. We raised $1250, made teddy bears for shelter children, worked in their thrift store, and learned about healthy relationships.
